HONOLULU, HI (January 5, 2014) – January’s highly anticipated Discover Kualoa will shine light on the agricultural bounty of Moli‘i Fishpond and ancient Hawaiian arts and crafts, while bringing together family and friends for an unforgettable cultural affair. The first of the three-event series is Saturday, January 18, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kualoa Ranch Ahupua‘a Hakipu‘u. Kualoa Ranch is now offering a special combo package to cover admission to all three events, which occur once a month from January through March, priced at $10+ tax for adults and $6+ for children.
The first Discover Kualoa will be followed by two more exciting events celebrating Makahiki Season: February 15 and March 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Each day will highlight a different facet of Hawaiian culture: January will feature Mōli‘i Fishpond and ancient arts, February will celebrate the cultural legacy of Ka‘a‘awa and March will honor Kualoa through song and dance. Also, the individual events will be held on different parts of the ranch: January in Ahupua’a Hakipu’u, February in Ahupua’a Ka’a’awa and March in Ahupua’a Kualoa.
